I would like to amend a review I previously provided. I panicked and thought I was getting no response for a request from Young Electric. I was requesting a bike rack part, I was getting very few return comments, just very quick and to the point questions. Low and behold the part arrived quickly and with no struggles. They did not communicate back and forth much but all occurred promptly and accurately. Also of note, I had some specific shipping requirements as I was moving locations. They handled these requirements and the part arrived. As far as the rack itself it is as advertised, strong, easy to use and very functional.

This rack is very nicely designed and well-made. The only criticism I have of it is it does not come with an integrated way to store the ramp. So you have to put it in the back of your car or truck and store it separately when it's in the garage.

This is the second Young Electric Rack I have bought. I re-purposed the first by parting it out and creating a rack for my Hiker Trailer. This one is significantly cheaper than the first (~$200 cheaper), and is probably not as heavy duty, but I have 2 bikes that weigh 70 lbs each and they are sold on this rack. I am very happy with it.

Read a lot of positive and negative reviews on several hitch racks and this one seemed to be a good bet. When it arrived I was impressed by the careful packaging and lack of damage. Amazingly all the holes lined up and were the correct size. All the nuts and bolts were in the box. This is not always true with inexpensive Chinese hardware. Mounting the bikes was easy despite missing the illustration instructing to leave the seat post clamp off until the bike is on the rack.Overall I am very impressed with this bike rack and highly recommended it. It held my bikes securely without a lot of wobble. My only complaint is having to use a bolt instead of a regular hitch pin. The bolt makes it harder to lock the rack to my truck plus you have to carry around a 24mm socket and a half inch drive ratchet.

The hitch fit our 53 inches e-bikes wheels base was a plus, the long nut go through the hitch to keep fit from wobbling was fine, but upgrading to the hitch lock is highly recommended, the threaded hold needs to be drill with a 5/8 drill bits to accommodate the hitch lock. Also, the three points contacts to straps down the bike is weak, one of them doesn’t work at all and unable to be strapped. Upgrading to tie down as first time used riding around the block we has to head back home as one straps on one of the wheels came loose, therefore moving the e-bike backwards.Get tie down if you’re going to keep this hitch.

Nice ebike rack that holds two bikes very securely, drops down for access to the truck bed and folds up when the bikes are not on board. Get the matching Young Electric loading ramp and their hitch lock (sold separately and you have a setup that holds 200 lbs of bikes for about $300 - all in. I don't know why you would spend a 100 or even 100s more..

The only thing I didn't like was the threaded hinge pin which could only be secured with a very small lock. To fix this I drilled 2 additional holes on the carrier near the threaded welded inserts so that I could put a non threaded locking hinge pin thats wasn't as long as some threaded locking hinge pins that could be cut into and removed. Now i like it! Young should have this option on all of their carriers. I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 if I could have bought it with the 2 postion option. UPDATE: I later found a treaded locking pin for sale on Amazon which I've ordered and will use. Young(the seller) should put this option on their sellers page. It would have saved me some time and trouble.

If your bikes weigh between 140 and 200 pounds together without the batteries and that you will use the support at least on an SUV, go ahead and buy this rack, it should do the job. If your bikes weigh less than 140 pounds together, and you drive a car or a small SUV, try to find something lighter. The two posts (to hold the bikes upright) are effectively extending about 6 inches farther than the rack when folded and therefore will protrude on both side of most vehicules which is a bit annoying. However they can be cut to lenght. All in all a good rack at a very reasonable price if this is what you need. Marc

The upright bar is able to pivot to any position. This facilitates securing any type of bike and the bar folds down to make it easy to put the bike onto the rack without having to work around it. I have this mounted on the back of my RV, and the ability to fold up is a big plus.

Follow the instructions, watch you don’t loose the rim protectors they slide off, I used extra tie downs on my Rambo bike for security of movement, all in all awesome bike rack, best price out there for a e-bike rack.

I had another brand before this one that was recalled so I was spoiled by its good design. I find this one very heavy, hard to get on and off the vehicle, and awkward to store. On the up side, I'm sure it will hold my two ebikes very well in the Spring when I can use it.Update: put the hitch on my car. Had a heck of a time tightening the threaded bolt after mounting the hitch on the car. Ended up removing the main part of the hitch and leaving only the folding tube part so I could more easily wiggle it around to get the bolt to screw in. Wouldn't go in. My son suggested I try the other side. That worked. This carrier is not meant to come off the car once you put it on. I will have to take the main hitch part off when I am not using it and leave the folding tube in the hitch receiver as I want to be able to easily get into my hatch back and don't want to haul around that extra weight all the time. This hitch needs a serious redesign to allow easy mounting and removal. I'll keep it, but was sorely tempted to return it!Once I put the bikes on the rack after an hour of messing with it, they seem to be on safely and in a sturdy and secure manner.
