This is so easy to set up and remove from the tailgate. You will not have to leave it on when not using it. Bikes load quickly and securely. There are secure metal grommets to thread your own cable lock system through the bicycles, mounting pad and tie down hooks. Made from sturdy, long lasting materials that should last a number of years with even heavy use.

I was hoping for and received a high quality tailed pad. The padding was think and protective front and back. The straps and buckles are all high quality. The product installs pretty easily especially and the new clips for securing the bike tube is fast and strong. Even the Velcro cover for the camera is heavy.I loaded two bikes in no time and drove confidently with them on my 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss.

My Silverado has a bump out on the tailgate so the pad ends up with big waves in it. Doesn't interfere with how it works, but since I leave it on my truck all the time it doesn't look awesome. I'm thinking about adding my own grommets along the bottom and lacing it through the tailgate gap to get it to sit more flat and move around less. The straps seem to loosen up over time especially if it rains. Holds bikes tight and seems like they improved with aluminum G clips instead of velcro like they had on the previous model for securing the bikes, I like that.

Very cool tailgate cover for bikes. Dark blue with gray mountains looks great on silver F-150. Size large fits well and can hold 6 bikes. Newly redesigned straps work great to secure bikes and are more durable than old Velcro design.

Bought it use like new on amazon. Arrived with a tiny scratch that I can't even find anymore. Super happy. I have a Honda Ridgeline 2023. I ordered a generic brand here first and wasn't happy. It blocked camera. This Yakima one not only keep the rear camera view perfect its thicker and have better locking system with g hooks. Love it!

I purchased the new version that has the hooks for strapping the bike down and received the old velcro strap version. It works fine, but I see the old version for sale at a lower price.

Overall, this is has been a good tailgate rack, but given reviews that I read about the prior model, and some things I’m seeing just a month into having it, I wonder how it will hold up.Pros:- easy on/easy off- the bike holders keep the bikes secure and evenly spaced. Been on a couple short road trips with 4 bikes in the bed, and they didn’t move on the journey.- soft inner protects the tailgate paint job- fits my 3rd gen Tacoma perfectly (5 bike version), and can still use the backup cameraCons:- rubberized mats on the straps that go around the tailgate are already peeling off- the little elastic loops to hold those straps come off easy and get lost. Already had to replace two with rubber bands- the stitching on the bike holders looks like it will come right off if I cinch down the bikes too tightly- no cable or anything to lock It to the truck, or lock the bikes. But there is a hole, that you can put a cable lock through.
