Got them for canoeing as the race we were in required a water whistle for emergencies. Works great but I hope we don’t ever need them.

Just what I needed for my life jackets, inexpensive, no metal parts, nice long lanyard. The bright color is helpful in a a emergency situation. Although I hope never to need them, exactly what we need.

The whistle is relatively large, but pretty flat so that it fis under a shirt. It is very loud (excellent !). Unfortunately, the lanyard on the whistle incorporates a quick release snap. While that might prevent a theoretical hanging, it absolutely makes the whistle less secure (easier to lose). I lost one when it popped off of my backpack without my knowledge.

Whittles are loud. They fit in pocket without large bulge. I kept one and gave rest to friends.
