Design, Assemble, and Dissemble
Eccentric Design, ISO 15488:2003(E)
The inside of the ER collet nut is intentionally designed like off-centering to help mount the ER collet much easier. It is in accordance with the requirements listed in ISO 15488:2003(E). If it is made symmetrical, the ER collet with the diameter larger than the inside size of the collet nut cannot be installed.
Assemble
Insert the ER collet into the nut at an angle. Lock it onto the eccentric groove of the collet nut and push it in. (Insert the cutter right after the step, before connect it to the holder/chuck/arbor.)
Inspection
Inspect the RPM of the ER collet, ER collet nut, ER collet holder/chuck/arbor, etc.
Runout Tolerance: 0.0004"
Dissemble
Take out the tool bit, press the end of the ER collet until the collet off the position. Push it out of the nut. (after take out the nut out of the holder.)

These are a well-made and accurate set of metric collets that make using metric tooling just that much easier and more precise.I always keep an eye out for deals on endmills for my 3040 desktop router/engraver and this set of metric collets lets me buy a wider range of metric sized endmills without having to worry if they will fit my engraver. While you can often get away with finding an imperial collet that will fit, sometimes you have to over tighten the collet nut or just barely get a bite to squeeze an endmill in. Having both metric and imperial sizes opens up a lot of opportunities to purchase those odd, but cheaper sizes.These are decently made collets, not the best in the world, but pretty accurate and more than enough to work at my level of precision. I have not put an indicator on these, but I can't tell that there is any significant runout, and with my little machine, it isn't going to be so precise that I would notice unless something was pretty far out.Collets can also hold work, such a rod stock for other kinds of operations with a rotary axis or on a mini lathe, so they are pretty much a needed tool. So, I am very happy to have another set in my arsenal of tooling.In the end, these are a good buy, and I can happily recommend them.

Metric tooling is much harder to find in the US than other countries because of the imperial measurement system we use. This set of metric collets won't get a lot of use but when you need one, you need one. This set is of high quality and will work quite well for us.
