The actuators on the 2007-2010 Saturn Aura / Chevy Malibu are notorious for failing. These seem to be the least expensive replacements available on Amazon, and my opinion is that they function just as good as OEM. The installation process will draw a little blood based upon how you must contort your hands and forearms into the door well, but is well worth it, as the dealer quoted $400 per door to repair. (versus $40 on amazon + elbow grease). The quality and power of these units seem to match the OEM. Two weeks into the installation at this point, and everything continues to function.Word of advice - use PB blaster and the correct size torx to loosen the factory bolts. I stripped bolts of the first door and had to use various alternative methods to extract the bolt. (As well as purchase new bolts).

Part fit, after I put it in the door still wouldn't lock. I trusted the part to be functional but after installation the lock still didn't engage so I bought new switches and chased wires thinking there was no power to the door. Using a multiple meter I found nothing was wrong with the wiring but after all was done it was past my return window. Test parts first.

Worked well to replace failed factory actuator. Only complaint is that I had to remove the rod clamp on this one and replace it with the factory one because it wouldn't fully close.

The item works great on the car, just as described. The only this it makes a little click sound when you open the door. But other than that works great.

installed on 09 Malibu. I had to reuse the plastic clip for the exterior door handle bolt. The design this new lock actuator came with did not want to clip on. Otherwise, no mechanical flaws. Decent part for the money.

Product was good, perfect fit. As another reviewer mentioned, discard the yellow clip and replace with the factory clip - the hole diameter for the rod is a bit too small on the new one to easily snap the clip together - it's just easier to use the old clip. Also, this is for the FRONT passenger door. I used it on the rear passenger door and it fits fine BUT there is no child lock mechanism on it, so be aware. If you don't care, then it works great and is a great price.
