Renewed my sloppy floppy shifter in my T176. The locking ring was a bit funny to install and I accidentally bent one of the prongs. I straightened it back out and had to file it just a little bit but it works great.

Worked great on my 84 f250 with np435 trans. Solved the issue of the shifter popping out and getting stuck in reverse

For anyone with an older truck standard transmission, this is a gem. I have a SM-465 from a 72 blazer, and this was an exact, 100% percent perfect fit. Such an awesome find.

It works as designed to replace worn components. If you’re buying this because of a sloppy shift that’s all over the place, do yourself a favor and make sure that your shift pins haven’t worn down. As this component will not solve that issue. However it will solve a lot of other issues that you might have.
