I got two ot these 1500w elements to replace my 3500w elements to reduce the load on my Sungold 240v split phase inverter when running on solar and batteries. Gets it done nicely!

This is a direct replacement for our water heater at the hunting camp. We always have a replacement on hand just in case. The water there is really hard, but the element usually last 15 years or so.A cheap price for what you get!

I used 2 of these in my short 40 gallon 240 volt water heater that had 4500 watt elements. I recently installed a 5000 watt Inverter to use with solar and Lithium battery backup. I tried to figure out how to use the solar to heat my water heater and run several other things with only a 5000 watt inverter and 3 lithium batteries of about 15,000 watt hours. I replaced the 4500 watt with these 1500 watt, and its working just fine. They take longer to heat the water, but that's not been a problem--so far. I hope to add a high efficiency mini split heat pump that the inverter should be able to handle, since I only have 1500 watt elements now, and the other loads are not that great, being 3 small refrigerators, and a freezer, and some other items, such as lights and computer equipment.

It was fairly easy to install but Make sure you use a socket wrench and not the heating element winch would not get it off the heating element wrench that they sell is junk make sure you get the right six way socket before even trying it . My old heating element blew out over the winter . Because it was a little bit of water in the hot water heater awesome product. Get the right 6 way socket for the right job to take it off.

This product needs to be removed from your inventory. The heating element last for two weeks. I checked customer reviews and you have other complaints with the same time line of operation. “REMOVE IT!!!â€

Worked as it should, this is my second one as the first one i got failed after10 months of use! possible voltage issue caused the premature failure.
