This EZ-106 valve is well made and worked perfectly for my 2012 F450 6.7L truck. The elbow can be adjusted however a person wishes. The valve comes with an O-ring seal and seals well against the oil pan. Couple of things to note: 1. The valve may or may not end up with the valve head in the vertical position. It will depend on the starting thread location in your oil pan. Nothing can be done to change that. If you over tighten it to make it straight up, you run a strong risk of stripping threads either on the valve or the oil pan, or worse, break the valve. It is what it is. 2. If you are worried about accidentall valve actuation, install a clamp aound the valve head above the valve handle. You could use an appropriately sized spring clamp or, as I did, a standard worm type hose clamp. No need to spend the money on the plastic clip insert. I have owned these style valves for over 3 decades and put them on my cars, pick ups, heavy equipment and haul trucks. I have never had a problem with them. The convenience astronomically outweighs the minimal risk. No mess oil changes other than the filters. These valves are nickel plated brass and are high quality. Not some slow boat lowest bidder fly by night reverse engineered garbage copy.

I bought this for my 2019 L5P SILVERADO Duramax but it did not fit. Fortunately for me it fit my 2018 Honda CRV AWD 2.4 engine perfectly..... Hopefully this will last. Makes changing the oil so much easier with little to no mess and saves time.

This is the second EZ-Drain Oil Valve that I've purchased. The first one was excellent. I used it on my Honda Civic and it has worked flawlessly. I purchased this second one for my wife's Ford Escape, however, it appears to have some critical fabrication flaws. The flat inner face of the valve next to the rubber o-ring has a chip in one spot and a small hump in the other; thus, the valve won't sit flush against the car's oil pan when screwed in, causing oil to leak. I'm very disappointed as I had such high faith in this company and recommended these valves to friends and family.

In my opinion, a must have addition especially if you have aftermarket oil pan skid plate. Oil used to go everywhere and once on top of skid plate drips all over the place and for ages. Not only solved that issue, makes draining oil a tool-less breeze! Bought along with 90 degree extention but for 2013 JK would recommend straight (H-001) extension instead (just purchased). Option to add a short length of 3/8 tubing to drop just above skid plate. While under warranty would go to dealer for oil changes but now back to doing myself-now effortlessly and mess-free.

I purchased 3 of these, one for each of our vehicles. No more dropping the hot oil pan plug into the pan of used motor oil. Just slip a piece of plastic tubing on the valve and open. No more mess.

I have tightened this thing as far as I dare and it is still dripping. good idea....would not recommend
