Protects Water Tanks from Corrosion and Sulfur "rotten egg" smells
Easy solution to avoid an expensive appliance replacement bill. Flexible Rod is compatible with most full sized water heaters and allows for installation in tight spaces. Replacing the anode rod every couple of years will drastically increase the life of your hot water heater. If your water is high in sulfates (rotten egg smell), replacing your existing magnesium rod or an old Aluminum/Zinc rod with a new one will rid the water of foul odors.

Cheap maintenance to prolong your water heater life indefinitely. Do it once in 3 years and you’re all set.Anode rod (once in 3 years), full port drain valve replacement (one time), pressure release valve (once in 3 years), flush once every 1-2 years= issue free water heater for life.As others mentioned- get 1/2†impact wrench - saves a lot of effort and makes changing rod a breeze.

I am amazed at how easy the rod was to change. This rod is segmented just like the original on my Rheem water heater. Much easier to install than a solid rod.

First time buying this Anode Rod and have had no problems. I bought this to replace an Anode Rod that didn't last 90 days and constantly put air into the hot water lines. This rod does not and works great. The rod is used in a 10 year old 50g Rheem hot water heater.

Installation is a simple.Preparation for installation can be a PITA.Many are socked in so tightly or so poorly accessible that a breaker bar won't do the trick.I used an impact wrench to loosen the "bolt' then a 1/2' drive ratchet wrench.Forget cheap Chinese gossamer thin teflon tape. I tried it and had to start over.Use quality teflon tape or pipe dope.Also, remove the aerator from the faucet you will use to restart flow. It will most likely become clogged with fine sediment.

Las medidas de la tuerca embonan perfecto !!! Muy poca posibilidad de fugas con este tipo de cuerda vale la pena la inversión en cuanto a durabilidad apenas lleva instalada 2 semanas asà que no pudo comentar nada al respecto es exactamente lo que dice el artÃculo en cuanto a lo que son las especificaciones y si nesecitara yo comprar otra pieza lo harÃa sin temor Es una buena compra hasta ahorita el tiempo será el que me diga calidad en los materiales

We installed it a couple of weeks ago and so far so good. We're seeing no difference in the hot water situation; all good thus far. Time will tell how long it lasts. It was very easy to install, much easier than the one piece anode rod was to install in the current location of our hot water tank, which is under a stairway.

This rod is a breeze to install. Because of it’s design, you only require 12 inches above your water heater. I do not know if it is good long term, but I would tend to say that it is. I would buy it again.
