I had been using Benchmark Abrasives 4-1/2†x 1/4†grinding discs and thought they were good. They were better than HF and I was paying about $1 each for the Benchmark discs.I bought several Makita grinders over the last few months and after using the Benchmark discs hard one day, I decided to try the one of the Makita discs. Wow! It was like using something that actually worked !!I bought a 25 pack of Makita discs for $47 and couldn’t be happier. They might be twice the price of Benchmark but they cut 3 times faster and last at least 3 times as long, so they are really less than 1/2 the price of anything cheaper

Ive grinded more metal than some people put miles on a car.. LOL . These are A1 when it comes to stainless , doesnt glass out halfway thru and doesnt leave residue, nice grit for good control weather diggn or skimming , I could tell an immediate difference on first use.

They are awesome grinding rocks . The take material off fast . My only complaint is they don’t seem to last . I’m in welding school and I went through about 3 of these a day, compared to ones I bought from another store and they were a 1/3 of the price. One of those would last about 2 days if I was doing a lot of grinding . Overall they are good rocks. But I don’t think I would pay as much as I did again.
