Seems to grind brazed carbide pretty well, not sure why the other purchasers had problems. Turns true on my grinder. Decent quality grinding wheel.

After all the negative reviews I was expecting this to be trash, but it works fine and is nicely balanced. I suspect quality control is crap and I just got lucky. Having read around, it seems like even the major brands have the same skew of satisfied and disappointed buyers. I would buy this again.

First time I used this - 6" bench grinder @ 3400-rpm - to grind off the corners of a 5/8" bolt, the wheel just disintegrated into dust. I used the other wheel on the grinder - also aluminum oxide - without issue. Removed the wheel from the grinder as it is useless. I will investigate if I can return, but I purchased 3-months prior to using. Maybe I got a bad one? But if one so soft could go out the door, there must be no Quality Control in this factory.

If you want to grind carbide, then use silicone carbide or diamond wheels. This product doesn't cut it. For Other metals, we already have mediocre wheels. Turns off kilter and no way to rebush the hub straight.

Bit more aggressive with tools than I though. Should have gone with 150 grit. However, is good quality and does work well.
