It has a downward hook and is 3/8 inch wide with a 1/4 inch projection. The adjustment slot allows it to be adjusted up or down to the correct position as needed. A well made product but the screws provided are to short. They didn’t take in account that has to go through the aluminum channel then into the wood framing.

worked well to replace a broken latch strike on a Silencia sliding screen door. The original was just brittle plastic and snapped ages ago.After my indoor cats managed to slide the door open and sneak out for 6 hours, wasn't sure I could let them have the patio door open anymore. But this worked a treat, even came with two!It is rather small and thin looking, being stamped metal, and certainly doesn't look like it could stop an intruder from forcing the door open, but then again, its a flimsy screen door that can be removed from its tracks, so high security isn't an issue. But it will certainly keep the cats from opening the doors!

The original latch strike finally broke and I needed to replace it. Couldn’t find this in any of the local big box stores so ordered from Amazon. Easy replacement, is more robust than the original, and works perfect.

We had a new patio door installed and low and behold it was missing this piece to lock the screen door. It was easy to install and works fine. However the price is outrageous. It probably costs them 25 cents to stamp these out then they charge you $10. I had to purchase these as I couldn't find any other ones not even at our local hardware store.

My patio door would not close and took me forever to find this latch strike plate. It was way smaller (by an inch) than my existing broken one but I drilled new holes and works perfectly.

This was exactly what I needed and worked perfectly for my door, was super easy to install and I haven't had an issue with it since I bought it. Can go either way. Upside down or right side up or whatever you want to call it. I love it cause now my kids can't get out of the sliding door.
