This tape will stop any water pipes from freezing and is easy to install. There is no thermostat, so you'll need to decide when to plug it in and unplug it to save power.

Having a barn with animals in the winter in MN presents some challenges. Thankfully my barn has a water faucet, so I needed something to keep it working all winter. I really like this idea where the tape wraps around the pipe coming up out of the floor and is just enough heat to keep the pipe from freezing. The tape is easy to install and I love that the plug has a light so you can tell it's on and working. Otherwise it would be a guessing game since it doesn't always feel that warm to the touch when it's really cold out. I appreciate that there are 2 rolls in this package so I have a backup in case something happens to the first one. Overall very happy with this heat tape.
