We wanted a bike rack that was short to protect the bikes from rubbing each other. This rack does that plus it is good for more than one size tire if you have a different kind of bike other than the fact that it is very heavy and very big. It goes on the vehicle relatively easy, the bikes go on relatively easy, and it secures the bikes well enough to feel confident on the road. If we need to get into the back of the vehicle, it tilts down to allow us access .

Shipping was fast, two days. The assembly process took 15 minutes - easy and instructions were good. Fit and finish of the product is excellent and the function is outstanding. It take mere minutes to mount and secure on your 2" receiver. One can load and secure two bikes in about the same few minutes. Of note, I've wheeled my Jeep with rack installed and bikes onboard. Everything remained secure and no issues with the bikes on the rack. I highly recommend this product.

The bike rack is excellent; however, I had difficulty following the printed assembly instructions. A quick search on YouTube turned up a short video that explains things quite well. The rack is solidly constructed, holds the bikes firmly in place, is easy to load / unload the bikes, and easy to install the rack on the vehicle. One suggested improvement: lengthen the locking cables (to lock the bikes onto the rack) by 2 - 4". Also, I have it mounted on a Ford Edge with proximity sensors - the bike rack activates the sensors anytime I have the vehicle in "Reverse." A bit annoying. Lastly, when you place a cover over the bikes, the car's license plate and tail lights / brake lights are obscured. Some jurisdictions may not like that.

I had a cheaper 2 back rack, and saw this one on a truck and immediatly knew I had to order it. It is rock solid and easy to use. Best bike rack I have had. I added a light kit to it for brake and blinkers.

I bought this rack based on user reviews for ease of use and quality of components. Assembly was straightforward but requires patience especially when mounting the trays to the rack body. Hardest part is adding the extension so that it is a 4 bike rack. The metal posts fit so tightly that they require lithium grease to slide the extension into the frame. To remove the extension, I need to use a spreader bar. All of this loosened up over several installs and removals but the first couple times were difficult. Otherwise, it’s a great rack. Fits all 4 of the family bikes including my 29†and my son’s 20†without any adapters or special parts. Solid mounts ensure a clean drive to your destination and the bikes can be secured with cable locks. The rack itself can be locked into your hitch receiver so no one can take it.

It was a little tricky at first to put it together but once set up it works really well. I have an e mtb that weighs over 50 lbs. strong and stable.

It’s THULE. Enough said. I’ve had many of their products in the last 20+ years. Go definitely get what you pay for. DONT BUY AN ADDITIONAL LOCK FOR THE HITCH! You don’t need one! It locks for you. I bought one because it said “frequently bought togetherâ€. It locks itself onto your hitch. Holds the bikes solid. Santa Cruz 5010C 27.5 wheels and an Intense spider 29C and a Cervelo S2. Very adjustable. Just a solid rack. Using it on a 2018 Tahoe… rear hatch still opens without removing the rack. Just pull the lever and rock it down.

Best rack out there. Fits all my bikes, from road to plus-sized MTB. So easy to put on, raise lower, and load. You pay for it, but if you ride a lot, this is this right purchase, My last Thule rack was used for over 10 years and I sold it for about 1/2 what a paid for it, which is incredible.

Acostumbrado al tirón para jalar una lancha de 23 pies, el sistema de acoplamiento se ve inicialmente muy frágil. Ya colocado en orificio de 2.5 de distancia aprecio mucho brincoteo( el i atractivo menciona que se recomienda solo para dos bicicletas, hice otro orificio en el tirón de acuerdo al i structivo para 4 bicicletas, da más seguridad. He visto otros y funcionan muy bien asà que habrá que experimentar. Fuera de esta apreciación personal todo oerfecto

Ordered the bike rack and came missing some parts. Called Thule customer service and they said they’ll shipped the missing parts. Later I found out my address was noted wrong on their end with multiple typos. Called CS again and they said they’ll resend it if I don’t receive it. If you ever need to contact their customer service, make sure you check and reconfirm every detail. They are pretty nice and friendly, but a bit careless. Overall the bike rack itself is great. It is nice and sturdy but will block your license plate like other users said. I install it by watching YouTube clips. Great buy.

Came quick. Easy to install. Perfect for the types of bikes we have. It is a bit cumbersome when using the camera to back up but is not as bad as other models. Not too difficult to lock in place or switch it into the upright position. It is quite heavy but you can tell it is good quality.
