This has a strong magnet and is big enough it's fairly easy to ready. I would get one again.

I bought this wood stove thermometer for my wood-burning stove, and it has been a game-changer! The large, clear display makes it easy to read the temperature at a glance, even from a distance. It magnetically attaches to the stovetop or pipe, so there's no need for drilling or complicated installation, which I appreciate. The thermometer is a reliable tool that accurately tracks the stove's temperature, ensuring it stays within the optimal burn range. This enhances the stove's efficiency and minimizes the risk of overheating. The marked zones allow you to identify the perfect range for burning wood or pellets, reducing the risk of creosote buildup or inefficient burning.

This wood stove thermometer is very easy to install with strong magnet on the back that can be handily mounted to any steel surfaces only limited to the wood stove. I found it useful to monitor the BBQ grill, and smoker temperature as well. The display with large size and clear blue and red color scheme is easy to read and clear when the temperature exceed the safety range. It is pretty durable so far even with accidental outdoor exposure when I forgot it outdoor. No rust after experiencing rain. A solid magnetic mount thermometer.

This thermometer is very useful for barbecue. It can be simply adhered on the stove during barbecue and read the temperature from it any time you want. The built-in magnetic suction is strong. Don't worry about it will fall off. The panel is straightforward. It shows temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Since this is mechanical, I am not worried if it may explode when getting too close to the fire. I used it to follow the recipe of grill, the result was great.

I never knew that wood stove thermometers existed. I have had a wood stove all my life; they produce the best heat and nothing compares to being cozy during the winter months. I decided to purchase this thermometer, and it looks really nice until you unpack it. It is made of very thin metal and feels cheap. However, as long as it performs its intended function, it should be acceptable. One feature it has is a metal handle in case you need to remove it for some reason. As long as it works, that is what matters. If you don't mind a flimsy thermometer, consider this one.

I first attached this to the vertical flue pipe of my wood fired stove while it was burning. The readout matched another thermometer and was very easy to read with the bright red pointer in the blue zone. The zone ratings like cool, best operation and too hot don’t really apply to my situation because my flue is a double walled “pipe in a pipe†and it’s clear that the zones are meant for direct measure on the cast iron. I’ll have to move it around to find the best reading. My other intention for this device is on the lid of my charcoal grill. I’m hoping that I can attach it to the lid and get a good indication of the internal temperature while I’m using the grill as a smoker. The indicated range is perfect for this use. I’m a bit unhappy with the magnetic attachment to the steel. It seems to be quite weak, the thermometer does not “click on†with an assured thunk to the steel and it is very easy to slide it around when attached - which should not be the case. I think they should consider using a better or bigger surface area magnet. I’ll probably add a second button style magnet somewhere in the black zone between 5 and 7 o’clock on the dial to get a better connection.

We like the blue-to-red color scale on this thermometer that corresponds to heat levels in the pipe/stove. So we checked it against the industry standard, the Rutland stovepipe thermometer, and it keeps score as well. So we're happily switching over to this sweeter look. ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Not even remotely close to accurate. Reads at 200 degrees constantly with a fire burning or not.
