Pretty good little fan that runs off of heat, I placed it on a radiator heater which powered it some. Higher heat worked better of course. These are good for putting on stove tops, fireplaces etc that do not have a fan built in. This will help it circulate a bit. It does not work as well as an electric fan but pretty decent and without energy needed.

This is my third stove fan, and amazingly it's the first to actually work as advertised. Everything looks similar to the others, but this one actually moves air and those ones don't. I did notice that the included thermometer has a lower "Ideal Temperature" range. I guess that might explain it, it starts working at lower temperatures than the other ones.

This fan came extremely well packaged in a diuble wall corrugated cardboard box and included a magnetic attached spring style thermometer. It was about 50-100F deg low compared to my infrared thermometer but for the purposes of preventing the fan from overheating the motor on a stove that is too hot In sire it is adequate. At 200F the fan started to rotate freely at 350 rpm by my digital tachometer. At the optimal operating temp of 450/500F it was going about 650rpms. There was adequate airflow at this temp considering the fan is only about 6 odd inches in diameter. Very well built bit take care of it as I suspect it wouldn't fare very well if it got knocked to the hard floor.

It does spin and move as it should and it looks great but the one thing it's made to do, it does not. For moving air it's a huge flop. It build quality looks great but beyond that if I put my hand inches in front of it I feel no air movement...disappointing at best.

throws a bit of air for what it is, works really well to make the most of you stove/insert. thought the little magnet thermometer was a nice touch. helps show where to put the fan without cooking it. my brother knocked the fan off my bench where i was testing it and it hit the concrete pretty hard, but still works fine aside from a small scratch where it hit. if you've never tried one of these you should.
