Thought it would be larger in diameter but it really made chips fly on the two small stumps I had. Not for use with large stumps unless you have lots of time.

I used this to peel 10 foot long ponderosa logs. It reduced the job to about 1 hour each or about 1/3 what it took with a manual scraper. Will probably be faster with practice.I would like it as a 4.5" size better. It does flung a lot of material so long sleeves are needed along with a full face mask and a air filter.

This review is for Stump Remover Angle Grinder Wood Carving Disc 6 Teeth, from Herchr, ~$23 on amazonGreat concept but design has a big issue. The 1-5/8" diameter depression is about 1/4" deep. Really needs to be at least 5/8" deep to accommodate the 5/8" length of the grinder's shaft. OR they need to thread the center hole (5/8-11) so it can be mounted atop backing washers.As designed, the shaft and retention nut protrude so far out that it is not possible to lay the disc close to flat against the surface being ground.I got this to help knock down the height of a tree stump but because I needed to hold the grinder at about a 45 degree angle, only a small portion of the carbide teeth met the surface of the stump.

Very effective for small areas,hard to reach spots. Would not utilize on stumps greater than 6 inches in diameter.

It did the job but dulled after about 2 hours of use. One blade broke off early in the stump removal.
